Facial recognition is being used in stadiums across Australia, but there are concerns the stadiums aren’t being transparent about why and how that data is being used, according to CyberCX Cyber Intelligence Director Katherine Mansted.
“Your biometrics, your facial recognition is one of the most important bits of information about you; it’s very sensitive,” Ms Mansted told Sky News Australia.
“There’s got to be a balance between using technology for good things and identifying and managing risk.”
